Champagne and Mirror
The mirror on this wardrobe is a full-height panel set into one of the two sliding doors, rather than a whole door given over to mirror. The champagne finish runs alongside it, so the mirror is framed by the wardrobe rather than replacing a section of the front.
That arrangement gives you a genuine full-length dressing mirror — enough to see a whole outfit — while the rest of the front stays champagne. The room gains the light and the depth a mirror brings without becoming reflective wall, which matters in a bedroom where a large mirror facing the bed is not always what people want.
On champagne the pairing is warmer than it would be on white. Champagne is a pale, faintly golden neutral, and against the cool brightness of mirror glass that warmth becomes more visible than it is on a plain front — the two surfaces sit beside each other rather than blending, so the panel reads as a deliberate detail. It is the combination to choose if you want a mirrored wardrobe that still feels soft rather than clinical.
The tone shifts gently through the day, cooler in morning light and warmer under lamps in the evening, and the mirror picks up whatever light is in the room alongside it.
Because the doors slide, the mirror moves across the front as you use the wardrobe. And with nothing swinging out into the room, there is no risk of a mirrored door catching on furniture — a real consideration in a bedroom, and one of the reasons a mirrored sliding wardrobe is safer than a hinged one.
The slim aluminium handles are the only other detail on the front — a cool metallic line against a warm pale finish, and what keeps the wardrobe looking contemporary rather than traditional.
Three Widths
All three sizes have two sliding doors; what changes is the width and how the interior is divided behind them.
175cm gives two compartments of 87.5cm — the right proportion for a standard double bedroom, and the most compact of the three. In a smaller room the mirror earns its place twice over, since it removes the need for one standing separately.
218cm opens the two compartments out to 109cm each. That is unusually generous: wide enough for a full season's coats or a long run of dresses in one section, without the rail being divided.
261cm divides into three compartments of 87.5cm behind the two doors. For two people sharing this is the one to have — a compartment each with a third for bedding, luggage or out-of-season clothing.
Every compartment, at every width, has a height-adjustable shelf and a hanging rail, so the balance between hanging and folded storage is yours to set rather than the factory's.
At 210cm high and 59cm deep, Aurelia fits a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the depth means garments hang square on the rail rather than pressing against the sliding doors.
German Build at a Sensible Price
Aurelia sits in the Rauch Blue range – Rauch's value line, where the brief is reliable quality and good value rather than premium specification. What it is not is a budget wardrobe dressed up: it is 100% Made in Germany and carries both the Blue Angel and the Golden M.
Blue Angel is an independently verified low-emission certification, which is worth having on a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in. The Golden M is Germany's independent furniture quality mark. Both are external certifications rather than the manufacturer's own claims, and most wardrobes at this price carry neither.
Other Options
If you would prefer no mirror at all, Aurelia is also produced as a plain champagne sliding wardrobe.
The mirrored version is also made in White, the brightest of the range, and Metallic Grey, a deep graphite considerably closer to black than the name suggests. There is also an Artisan Oak version with mirror, which pairs a warm wood-effect door with the same mirror panel.
Matching bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
Delivery and Assembly
Free delivery is included, and our professional assembly service is available at additional cost — our fitters deliver to your room of choice, build the wardrobe, remove the packaging and show you how everything works before they leave. On a wardrobe with a mirrored door it is worth considering.
Dispatch is 4 to 6 weeks, which is quicker than most German wardrobes we sell. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date: the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK.

FAQs
How is the mirror arranged?
As a full-height panel set into one of the two sliding doors, with the champagne finish running alongside it. It is not a whole mirrored door – the mirror is framed by the wardrobe rather than replacing a section of the front.
What colour is Champagne?
A pale, faintly golden neutral – warmer than grey and softer than white. Beside the mirror that warmth is more visible than it is on a plain front, since the two surfaces sit next to each other rather than blending.
How does it compare with the white version?
White and mirror is the brightest combination and does slightly more for a dark room. Champagne is the softer of the two – a mirrored wardrobe that still feels warm rather than clinical.
Is it big enough to use as a dressing mirror?
Yes. The panel runs the full height of the door, so you can see a whole outfit – but without the wardrobe becoming a mirrored wall facing the bed.
How many doors does it have?
Two sliding doors at every width. The wider sizes give more internal compartments behind those two doors rather than additional doors.
Which width should I choose?
175cm gives two compartments of 87.5cm — the most compact option. 218cm widens them to 109cm each, which suits long uninterrupted hanging. 261cm divides into three compartments of 87.5cm, which is the better arrangement for two people sharing.
What is inside the wardrobe?
Every compartment has one height-adjustable shelf and one hanging rail. Because the shelf adjusts, you can raise it for full-length coats and dresses or lower it to add folded storage.
Why choose sliding doors on a mirrored wardrobe?
Nothing swings out into the room, so no floor space is lost and there is no risk of a mirrored door catching on furniture as it opens – a real consideration in a bedroom.
Is there a version without a mirror?
Yes. The same wardrobe is produced as a plain champagne sliding wardrobe.
What is the Rauch Blue range?
Rauch's value line – functional, well-designed furniture made in Germany, combining reliable quality with good value. It carries the same Blue Angel and Golden M certifications as the rest of the brand.
How deep is it?
59cm, which allows garments to hang square on the rail without pressing against the sliding doors.
Is it available in other colours?
Yes. The mirrored version is also made in White and Metallic Grey, and there is an Artisan Oak version.
What delivery options are available?
Free delivery is included. Our professional assembly service is available at additional cost, where our fitters build the wardrobe in your chosen room and remove the packaging.
How long will it take to arrive?
Dispatch is 4 to 6 weeks — quicker than most German wardrobes. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date, as the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order by Rauch to your selected specification, so once the order has been processed it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected width carefully before ordering.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.
