About the Kodi Collection

Kodi is a complete bedroom collection built around one idea: that drawers should be part of the design rather than an afterthought. Where most wardrobes bolt two identical boxes onto the bottom of a cabinet, Kodi arranges its drawers in three graduated depths, faces them in Atlantic Dark Oak, and makes them the visual centre of the piece. The result is furniture that solves the storage problem and looks like it was meant to.

Every item in the collection shares the same two-tone treatment – a plain carcase with contrasting Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts and matte black linear metal handles – so a wardrobe, a pair of bedside tables and a chest of drawers read as one considered scheme rather than three separate purchases. It is a rare thing in bedroom furniture, where matching ranges often stop at the wardrobe.

Kodi belongs to the Rauch Orange range and is 100% Made in Germany, carrying both the Blue Angel and the Golden M quality seals. Three Colourways

Choosing Your Wardrobe

Kodi wardrobes come in three widths, each available in two drawer configurations. That gives six layouts before you choose a colour, so it is worth understanding what separates them.

The width is the straightforward part. 181cm suits a standard double bedroom; 226cm fits a longer wall and adds a third internal compartment; 271cm is a large wardrobe that will usually replace both a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. All three stand 210cm high and 54cm deep, so they fit standard modern ceilings without a specialist build.

The drawer configuration is the real decision, and it is a genuine trade-off rather than a matter of more or less.

The six-drawer versions place a bank of three drawers at each end, giving two complete sets of graduated storage. For two people sharing this is ideal – each takes a bank, and nobody negotiates over the shallow accessory drawer. The cost is hanging height: at 181cm every compartment sits above a drawer bank, so there is no full-height section at all. The 226cm and 271cm versions do add a full-height centre compartment.

The three-drawer versions put a single bank at one end and leave the rest of the wardrobe as uninterrupted hanging space. Choose these if your clothes are mostly on rails, if you own a lot of coats or dresses, or if you already have a chest of drawers you intend to keep. The three-drawer models also offer something the six-drawer ones cannot: you specify whether the drawer unit sits on the left or the right. On a made-to-order item that is worth deciding with the room in front of you – it matters where the wardrobe sits beside a doorway, a window or a chimney breast, or where two units are going in side by side.

Every Kodi wardrobe is supplied with free white glove delivery. Professional assembly is available at additional cost and can be selected at checkout. Please allow 25cm of clearance for installation, and measure the full run of wall before ordering – including skirting boards, radiators and any point where the wall is not perfectly square.

FAQs

Should I choose three drawers or six?
Six drawers give two banks of graduated storage, one at each end – best for two people sharing, or where the wardrobe needs to replace a chest of drawers. Three drawers leave far more uninterrupted hanging space and let you choose which side the drawer unit sits on. If most of your clothes hang, choose three; if most of them fold, choose six.

Can I choose which side the drawers are on?
On the three-drawer wardrobes, yes – left or right, specified when you order. The six-drawer versions have a bank at each end, so the question does not arise. As these are made-to-order items, the choice cannot be changed once the order has been processed.

Which width should I choose?
181cm suits a standard double bedroom. 226cm fits a longer wall and adds a third internal compartment. 271cm is a large wardrobe that will usually replace a wardrobe and a chest of drawers together. All three are 210cm high and 54cm deep.

Why are the drawers different depths?
Each depth is intended for different contents. The 6cm top drawer has interior dividers for jewellery, watches, belts and small accessories. The 8cm middle drawer suits underwear, socks and folded lightweights. The 20cm bottom drawer takes jumpers, jeans and bulkier items.

Do the drawers have soft close?
The drawers run on metal runners for smooth, reliable use. Soft close is not fitted to the Kodi collection.

What is Atlantic Dark Oak?
A wood-effect décor finish in a deep, warm brown, used on the drawer fronts throughout the collection. It contrasts with the carcase colour on all three colourways and is what gives Kodi its two-tone character.

Can I buy the matching furniture separately?
Yes. The bedside tables, narrow chest and 5 drawer chest can each be bought individually or alongside a wardrobe. Because the finishes and detailing are identical across the collection, pieces added later will still match.

Is delivery and assembly included?
Free white glove delivery is included. Professional assembly is available at additional cost and can be selected at checkout.

How long will delivery take?
Dispatch times are shown on each product page. Kodi is manufactured in Germany to your specification and then shipped to the UK, so the timeframe shown is a dispatch estimate rather than a delivery date.
