About the Champagne Finish

Champagne is one of the more difficult neutrals to get right, and Rauch have got it right here. It is warmer than grey and softer than white – a pale, faintly golden tone that picks up whatever light the room gives it and turns slightly through the day, cooler in the morning and noticeably warmer under lamplight. Against oak or walnut flooring it reads as quietly expensive. Against white walls it stops the room feeling clinical.

It is also a forgiving choice. Champagne sits comfortably with brass and antique gold fittings, with cream and taupe bedding, and with natural linen – but it does not fight a cooler scheme either. If you are furnishing a bedroom gradually rather than all at once, it gives you room to change your mind later.

The wardrobe itself is a two-door sliding design with a split-door front and three slim horizontal strips running across it. One door carries a full-height mirror; the other is yours to specify, and that choice changes the character of the piece considerably. Matt Décor gives a soft, non-reflective panel front – the most understated of the three. Glossy Colour Glass is real glass with a high-sheen surface that reflects light and gives the champagne tone genuine depth, particularly effective in smaller or north-facing rooms. Matt Colour Glass is also real glass, but with a low-sheen surface that keeps the colour rich while avoiding reflections. The carcase is always finished in Matt Décor, which keeps the frame calm and lets the door front lead.

The mirrored door earns its place twice over. It removes the need for a separate freestanding mirror, and in a bedroom of any size it visually doubles the depth of the room. Paired with a glass or décor partner door, the split-door format gives a balanced, symmetrical front rather than the flat expanse you get from plainer sliding wardrobes.

Sliding doors are the sensible choice wherever floor space is tight. Nothing swings out into the room, so the wardrobe can sit opposite a bed, beside a doorway or in a narrow room without compromise. The Supreme Duo runs on a metal rail system engineered for a smooth, near-silent glide, and the doors hold their alignment in daily use – the detail that separates a premium sliding wardrobe from a budget one over ten years rather than ten months.

Construction is what the rauch BLACK line is built on: high-quality wood-based panels, metal fittings and rails, and an MDF back wall for rigidity. With 68cm external depth and 58cm usable inside, garments hang square on the rail rather than pressing against the doors. Surfaces need nothing more than a dry wipe. As a 100% Made in Germany product carrying both the Blue Angel and Golden M seals, it meets independently verified standards for low emissions and furniture quality – Blue Angel in particular is a meaningful credential for a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in.

Two heights are offered. The 236cm model adds useful storage volume above the hanging space where ceiling height allows; 223cm suits standard modern ceilings. Widths run 160cm, 180cm and 200cm, and the Supreme Duo extends further into 3-door models from 240cm to 300cm and 4-door models from 320cm to 400cm if you need to fill a longer wall.

Matching bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection, so the champagne finish carries through the whole room rather than stopping at the wardrobe.

Is delivery and assembly included?
Yes. Delivery and full professional assembly are included at no extra cost, to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our team builds the wardrobe in your room of choice – there is nothing to add at checkout and nothing for you to assemble.

How long will it take to arrive?
Dispatch is 8 to 10 weeks. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date: the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK. Occasionally items arrive sooner, and during German factory holiday closures it can take slightly longer.

Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order in your chosen finish and size, so once the order has been processed with Rauch it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.

How much space do I need to install it?
Allow 15cm of clearance at each side of the wardrobe and 15cm above it. This is needed to build and position the unit correctly, so it is worth measuring the intended space before you order.

What is the difference between the three front finishes?
Matt Décor is a panel finish with a soft, non-reflective surface. Glossy Colour Glass is genuine glass with a high-sheen, light-reflecting front. Matt Colour Glass is also genuine glass, but with a low-sheen surface that minimises reflections. All three are supplied in Champagne, with the mirrored door and Matt Décor carcase unchanged across the range.

Is the mirror included?
Yes. The full-height mirrored door is supplied as standard on this model. The Supreme Duo is also produced without mirrors as a separate model if you would prefer a fully glass or fully décor front.

What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms – a reflection of the build standard behind the rauch BLACK collection.

Can I add more shelves or rails inside?
Yes. The wardrobe comes with the standard interior of two adjustable shelves and one hanging rail per compartment. Additional interior fittings can be selected under Extras before you complete your order.
