About the Silk Grey Finish
Silk Grey is the middle ground of the Contido range, and for a great many bedrooms it is the right answer. It is a soft, light grey with a gentle warmth to it – not the cold, blue-tinged grey that dominated interiors a decade ago, and not so pale that it reads as an off-white. It has enough tone to look like a deliberate choice rather than a default, and enough restraint to sit quietly in the room.
That balance is what makes it the safest choice in the range without being a dull one. Where black demands a scheme built around it and white can occasionally feel clinical, silk grey simply works – with warm woods and cool metals equally, with light or dark bedding, and without dating the way a strong colour eventually will. It is also the finish that shows the door design best: the horizontal shadow lines between the panels register more clearly on a mid tone than on either extreme.
