About the Silk Grey Décor Finish

This is the most visually seamless wardrobe in the Forms range. Because the base plinth on every Forms model is supplied in Silk Grey, and this version has silk grey doors and a silk grey carcase, the whole unit reads as one continuous tone from the floor to the top. On the white and champagne models that plinth appears as a contrasting band at the base; here it disappears entirely. If an uninterrupted, built-in look is what you are after, this is the configuration that achieves it.

The colour helps. Silk Grey is a soft, light grey with a gentle warmth – not the cold, blue-tinged grey that dated so quickly in the last decade of interiors, and not so pale that it reads as an off-white. It has enough tone to look like a deliberate choice rather than a default, and enough restraint to sit quietly across three doors.

In a matt décor finish that quality comes through differently than it does in glass. Without any sheen, the surface takes on an almost chalky, textile softness – closer to a painted wardrobe than a manufactured one. Where glass gives the colour depth and movement, décor gives it stillness. What is the difference between the décor and glass versions?
Décor is a matt panel finish – soft, non-reflective, and the lower-priced of the two. Glass fronts are genuine silk grey tempered glass with a smooth, slightly reflective surface that gives the colour more depth. The carcase, interior, handles, mechanism and dimensions are identical on both, so the choice is purely about the look of the doors.

Does the base plinth match on this model?
Yes. The plinth on every Forms wardrobe is Silk Grey, so on this version it matches the doors and carcase exactly. The wardrobe reads as one continuous tone from the floor upwards, which is not the case on the lighter or darker colourways.

Is Silk Grey warm or cool in tone?
It sits on the warmer side of neutral – a soft light grey rather than a cold, blue-tinged one. That makes it easier to pair with both warm woods and cooler metals than a strongly cool grey would be.

Is a mirrored version available?

Does a matt finish show marks?
Less than a reflective one.
