About the Artisan Oak and Glass Front
At 181cm the Artemis front is at its most balanced. Two glass doors sit at the centre with a single Artisan Oak door framing each side – an even split between the two materials, symmetrical about the middle. On the wider models the oak acts as a border; here it holds equal weight with the glass, which gives the wardrobe a more graphic, deliberately halved appearance than any of the larger sizes.
Artisan Oak is a mid-toned wood effect with visible grain and genuine tonal movement – warm without being rustic, and quite different in character from a painted finish. On a wardrobe of this size that texture matters: a plain single-colour front at 181cm can look like a box, whereas the wood grain gives the piece something to look at without needing decoration.
The two centre doors are yours to specify, and because they make up half the front, the glass choice changes the wardrobe more here than on the wider models.
Champagne Glass is the warmest and the most cohesive. A pale, faintly golden tone sits in the same family as the oak, so the two halves relate rather than contrast – the wardrobe reads as one considered piece with a change of texture at the centre rather than a change of scheme. It is the safest choice and, for most rooms, the best-looking.
White Glass is the brightest and the crispest. Clean white against warm oak is a sharper, more contemporary pairing, and across half the front it lifts the light in the room noticeably. In a smaller or north-facing bedroom this is the option that does most for the space.
Basalt Glass is the boldest. A deep, near-black graphite filling the centre of a warm oak wardrobe is a strong, high-contrast composition – dramatic and architectural, best in a room with light to spare and a restrained palette elsewhere. It also pairs particularly well with the metallic grey handles, which pick up the same dark tone.
Whichever you choose, these are genuine glass fronts rather than a printed or foiled panel. Glass has an evenness and depth that no coating reproduces, and it holds that appearance permanently – it will not scuff at the edges and will not shift in tone over years of daylight. Set against a textured wood-effect surround, the contrast between the two materials is a large part of why the wardrobe looks considered rather than assembled.
The long metallic grey handles run the full height of each door. Four vertical lines across the front give the wardrobe a strong, regular rhythm and, importantly, tie the oak and glass halves together into one designed object rather than two materials meeting.
