About the Artisan Oak and Glass Front
Artemis solves a problem most large wardrobes ignore. At 271cm, a single material across the whole front becomes a wall – oak reads as heavy, white as blank, dark as oppressive. Artemis uses two: a warm Artisan Oak carcase and outer doors, with four glass doors filling the centre. The oak frames the piece at each end and the glass carries the middle, so nearly three metres of wardrobe reads as a composed, deliberately proportioned front rather than a repeating run of doors.
Artisan Oak is a mid-toned wood effect with visible grain and genuine tonal movement – warm without being rustic, and quite different in character from a painted finish. It brings the texture that a large piece of furniture needs to avoid looking manufactured, and it sits naturally alongside linen, wool, rattan and the warm off-whites that have replaced stark white in most British bedrooms.
The four centre doors are yours to specify, and the three glass options take the wardrobe in genuinely different directions.
Champagne Glass is the warmest and the most cohesive. A pale, faintly golden tone sits in the same family as the oak, so the two materials relate rather than contrast – the wardrobe reads as one considered piece with a change of texture at the centre rather than a change of scheme. It is the safest choice and, for most rooms, the best-looking.
White Glass is the brightest and the crispest. Clean white against warm oak is a sharper, more contemporary pairing, and across four centre doors it lifts the light in the room considerably. In a smaller or north-facing bedroom this is the option that does most for the space.
Basalt Glass is the boldest. A deep, near-black graphite at the centre of a warm oak wardrobe is a strong, high-contrast composition – dramatic and architectural, best in a room with light to spare and a restrained palette elsewhere. It also pairs particularly well with the metallic grey handles, which pick up the same dark tone.
Whichever you choose, these are genuine glass fronts rather than a printed or foiled panel. Glass has an evenness and depth that no coating reproduces, and it holds that appearance permanently – it will not scuff at the edges and will not shift in tone over years of daylight. Set against a textured wood-effect surround, the contrast between the two materials is a large part of why the wardrobe looks considered rather than assembled.
The long metallic grey handles run the full height of each door. Six vertical lines across 271cm give the front a strong, regular rhythm and, importantly, tie the oak and glass sections together into one designed object rather than two materials meeting in the middle. Metallic grey is the right choice here – warmer than chrome against oak, and darker than brushed steel, so it reads as part of the composition rather than an applied fitting.
Internally the wardrobe divides into three equal 90cm compartments, each with a storage shelf and a hanging rail. Three separate hanging sections is a more usable arrangement than one long run: two people sharing can take a compartment each, with the third given over to bedding, luggage or out-of-season clothing. It is a deliberately open interior rather than a heavily fitted one, which leaves you free to build it out as you need.
That is where the optional accessories come in. Additional shelves, hanging rails, interior drawers and compartment dividers can all be added, so the interior can be specified for what you actually own – more shelving in one section, a drawer bank in another, dividers where you need them.

Which doors are glass?
The four centre doors, with an Artisan Oak door at each side. You choose the glass colour when you order – Champagne, Basalt or White – and the oak carcase and outer doors are the same on all three.
Which glass colour should I choose?
Champagne is the warmest and sits closest to the oak, giving the most cohesive result. White is the brightest and crispest, and does most for a smaller or north-facing room. Basalt is a deep near-black, the boldest of the three, and pairs particularly well with the metallic grey handles.
Is it real glass?

Is a wardrobe this large right for my room?
At 271cm wide it needs a substantial run of clear wall, but at 54cm deep the footprint is no greater than a smaller wardrobe – only the width changes. The two-tone front also helps considerably: an oak surround with a glass centre carries far less visual weight than 271cm of a single material would.
