About the Champagne Finish
Champagne is the warm option in the Contido range, and the one that most often surprises people who came looking for white. It is a pale, faintly golden neutral – warmer than grey, softer than white – and it gives you most of the light-reflecting benefit of a pale wardrobe without the clinical edge white can bring. In a room with white walls it stops the scheme feeling cold; against oak or walnut flooring it reads as quietly expensive.
The tone shifts gently through the day, cooler in morning light and noticeably warmer under lamps in the evening, which gives the front a subtlety a flat colour does not have. It sits naturally with brass and antique gold fittings, with cream, taupe and stone bedding, and with linen and other natural materials – but it does not fight a cooler palette either, so if you are furnishing gradually it leaves your options open.
