About the Kodi Design

At 271cm this is a large wardrobe by any measure, and the six-door layout uses that width better than simply repeating the smaller models. The centre section runs the full height of the unit behind two doors, with no drawers beneath it – a 90cm column of uninterrupted hanging space for coats, dresses, suit carriers and anything else that needs the full drop. Either side, the familiar Kodi arrangement: two doors above three graduated drawers.

That combination is what makes a wardrobe this size genuinely usable rather than just big. Large wardrobes often give you more of the same thing – four identical compartments, all cut short by the same fittings. Here you get three distinct zones: two drawer-and-hanging sections for everyday clothes, and a full-height centre for the long garments that have nowhere else to go.

The six drawers are arranged in three graduated depths, and each depth exists because something specific needs to go in it. The top drawer in each bank is 6cm deep with interior dividers – a jewellery, watch, cufflink, belt and sock drawer, for the things that get lost at the bottom of a deep drawer or end up in a dish on the chest. Below it an 8cm drawer for underwear, socks and folded lightweights. At the bottom, a 20cm drawer for jumpers, jeans and anything bulky.

Because the banks sit at opposite ends of the wardrobe rather than side by side, two people sharing get a genuinely separate half each – a drawer bank and a hanging compartment apiece, with the full-height centre as shared space. On a wardrobe this wide that separation is worth more than the raw storage volume.

Visually, the Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts are what stop 271cm reading as a wall of grey. Set against the Metallic Grey carcase and doors, the warm wood grain gives a two-tone look, and the six-door layout uses it particularly well: the full-height centre section splits the oak into two distinct blocks at either end rather than one long band, so the wardrobe has a composed, symmetrical front rather than a repeating one. The matte black linear handles sharpen it further – dark, minimal, and consistent across doors and drawers alike.

Behind the doors, each of the three 90cm compartments has a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail rated to 40kg. The shelf positions to suit what you actually own rather than sitting where the factory decided, so the centre compartment can be set for full-length hanging while the outer sections carry more folded storage – or the other way round.

Usable interior depth is 50cm, so garments hang square rather than pressing against the doors. The shelves are 1.6cm thick and the rails are metal rather than plastic. If you want more from the interior, additional shelves, interior drawers, lighting, pull-out rails and dividers can all be added as optional extras before you order.

At 210cm high it fits a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the 54cm depth keeps the footprint modest for a wardrobe that also absorbs six drawers' worth of storage. In most bedrooms this replaces a wardrobe and a chest of drawers together.

Kodi is also produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm, both with the same six-drawer arrangement. This 271cm model is also available in Champagne and White, each with the same Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts.

What is behind the two centre doors?
A 90cm full-height compartment with a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail. Because there are no drawers beneath it, the full height of the wardrobe is available – making it the section to use for coats, dresses, suit carriers and anything else that needs uninterrupted vertical space.

How does this compare with the 4 and 5 door versions?
The 4 door at 181cm has two compartments, both above drawer banks, with no full-height section. The 5 door at 226cm adds a 45cm full-height centre. This 6 door widens that centre to a full 90cm, giving considerably more long-hanging space. All three have the same six drawers.

Why are the drawers different depths?
Each depth is intended for different contents. The 6cm top drawer has interior dividers for jewellery, watches, belts and small accessories. The 8cm middle drawer suits underwear, socks and folded lightweights. The 20cm bottom drawer takes jumpers, jeans and bulkier items. The arrangement is repeated at both ends, so there are two complete sets.

Preparing Your Room for Assembly

Large wardrobes normally need to be assembled flat before being carefully raised into their final position. Preparing the room before the delivery team arrives is therefore essential.

• Ensure the room has sufficient clear floor space for the wardrobe to be assembled lying flat.
• Allow approximately 20cm of clearance around the wardrobe footprint where possible.
• Allow approximately 15–20cm of ceiling clearance above the finished height of the wardrobe.
• Ensure access routes, doorways, hallways and stairs are clear and suitable for the wardrobe components to be safely carried into the room.
• Remove furniture and other items that may obstruct the assembly area.
• Consider radiators, light fittings, low ceilings, sloping ceilings and other permanent obstructions that could prevent safe assembly.
• Our wardrobes are freestanding and the assembly team may require access around the furniture during installation.

Important: If our assembly team arrives and the room or access route is not suitable for safe delivery and assembly, they may be unable to complete the service. The assembly charge may still apply where the service cannot be completed because sufficient access or assembly space has not been provided.

What Happens If Damage Occurs During Assembly?

When you choose our Professional Delivery & Assembly service, the installation is carried out by our specialist assembly team.

If accidental damage occurs to your wardrobe during assembly, the assemblers will report the damage to us so that we can arrange the appropriate replacement part.

We normally aim to order the replacement part within approximately 48 hours of receiving the relevant information from the assembly team.

Please be aware that many of our wardrobe parts are manufactured and supplied from Germany. Replacement components may therefore take a similar lead time to the original order before they arrive with us and can be arranged for fitting.
