About the Kodi Design

The five-door Kodi solves a problem the four-door version cannot. Where every compartment sits above a bank of drawers, hanging space is always cut short – fine for shirts and jackets, awkward for anything full length. Here the centre 45cm compartment runs uninterrupted from floor to top with no drawers beneath it, giving coats, dresses and suit carriers a dedicated column of their own. It is the difference between a wardrobe that stores clothes and one that stores all your clothes.

Either side of it, the arrangement is the one Kodi is built around: two doors above three drawers, repeated symmetrically. Six drawers in total, in three graduated depths, and each depth is there because something specific needs to go in it.

The top drawer in each bank is 6cm deep and fitted with interior dividers – a jewellery, watch, cufflink, belt and sock drawer, for the things that get lost at the bottom of a deep drawer or end up in a dish on the chest. Below it sits an 8cm drawer for underwear, socks and folded lightweight items. At the bottom, a 20cm drawer takes jumpers, jeans and anything bulky. Three depths, three jobs, and nothing forced into a space that does not suit it.

Because the banks are mirrored either side of the centre, you get two complete sets of graduated storage rather than one shared run. For two people sharing a bedroom that is genuinely useful – each takes a bank and a hanging compartment, with the full-height centre section as shared space for long garments. At 85cm wide and 39cm deep internally, each drawer is a proper size rather than a token one, and they run on metal runners for smooth, reliable use.

Visually, the Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts are what lift the piece. Set against the Metallic Grey carcase and doors, the warm wood grain gives a two-tone look that stops 226cm of wardrobe reading as a single grey block – and the five-door layout adds something the four-door does not, since the full-height centre door breaks the run of oak into two distinct sections rather than one continuous band. The matte black linear handles sharpen it further: dark, minimal, and consistent across doors and drawers alike.

Behind the doors, each of the three compartments has a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail rated to 40kg. The shelf positions to suit what you actually own rather than sitting where the factory decided, so the centre compartment can be set for full-length hanging while the outer sections carry more folded storage – or the other way round.

Usable interior depth is 50cm, so garments hang square rather than pressing against the doors. The shelves are 1.6cm thick and the rails are metal rather than plastic. If you want more from the interior, additional shelves, interior drawers, lighting, pull-out rails and dividers can all be added as optional extras before you order.

At 226cm wide and 210cm high, this sits comfortably in a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the 54cm depth keeps the footprint modest for a wardrobe that also absorbs six drawers' worth of storage. For most bedrooms that removes the need for a separate chest of drawers entirely.

Kodi is also produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 6 door wardrobe at 271cm, both with the same six-drawer arrangement. This 226cm model is also available in Champagne and White, each with the same Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts.

What is behind the centre door?
A 45cm full-height compartment with a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail. Because there are no drawers beneath it, the full height of the wardrobe is available – making it the section to use for coats, dresses, suit carriers and anything else that needs uninterrupted vertical space.

Why are the drawers different depths?
Each depth is intended for different contents. The 6cm top drawer has interior dividers for jewellery, watches, belts and small accessories. The 8cm middle drawer suits underwear, socks and folded lightweights. The 20cm bottom drawer takes jumpers, jeans and bulkier items. The arrangement is repeated on both sides, so there are two complete sets.

What is inside each wardrobe compartment?

For most bedrooms, no. Six drawers in three graduated depths, arranged as two separate banks, cover what a chest would normally hold – a useful saving of floor space alongside a wardrobe of this size.

Preparing Your Room for Assembly

Large wardrobes normally need to be assembled flat before being carefully raised into their final position. Preparing the room before the delivery team arrives is therefore essential.

• Ensure the room has sufficient clear floor space for the wardrobe to be assembled lying flat.
• Allow approximately 20cm of clearance around the wardrobe footprint where possible.
• Allow approximately 15–20cm of ceiling clearance above the finished height of the wardrobe.
• Ensure access routes, doorways, hallways and stairs are clear and suitable for the wardrobe components to be safely carried into the room.
• Remove furniture and other items that may obstruct the assembly area.
• Consider radiators, light fittings, low ceilings, sloping ceilings and other permanent obstructions that could prevent safe assembly.
• Our wardrobes are freestanding and the assembly team may require access around the furniture during installation.

Important: If our assembly team arrives and the room or access route is not suitable for safe delivery and assembly, they may be unable to complete the service. The assembly charge may still apply where the service cannot be completed because sufficient access or assembly space has not been provided.

What Happens If Damage Occurs During Assembly?

When you choose our Professional Delivery & Assembly service, the installation is carried out by our specialist assembly team.

If accidental damage occurs to your wardrobe during assembly, the assemblers will report the damage to us so that we can arrange the appropriate replacement part.

We normally aim to order the replacement part within approximately 48 hours of receiving the relevant information from the assembly team.

Please be aware that many of our wardrobe parts are manufactured and supplied from Germany. Replacement components may therefore take a similar lead time to the original order before they arrive with us and can be arranged for fitting.
