About the Champagne Finish

Champagne and dark oak is the warmest of the three Kodi colourways, and arguably the most sophisticated. Where the white version relies on contrast and the metallic grey on cool restraint, this pairing works through relation: champagne is a pale, faintly golden neutral, and Atlantic Dark Oak is a deep warm brown. They sit at opposite ends of the same tonal family rather than in opposition, so the wardrobe reads as one considered piece rather than two colours stuck together.

That warmth is what makes it easy to live with. Champagne shifts gently with the light through the day – cooler in the morning, noticeably warmer under lamps in the evening – and it belongs naturally alongside oak or walnut flooring, linen and wool, and cream, taupe or stone bedding. Against white walls it stops a room feeling clinical without committing you to a strongly coloured scheme.

The matte black linear handles are what keep it from tipping into anything traditional. Dark, minimal and consistent across both the doors and the drawers, they give a warm palette a sharp contemporary edge – the detail that makes this read as modern German furniture rather than country styling.

The six drawers are what Kodi is built around, and they are arranged in three graduated depths because each depth has a job. The top drawer in each bank is 6cm deep and fitted with interior dividers – a jewellery, watch, cufflink, belt and sock drawer, for the things that get lost at the bottom of a deep drawer or end up in a dish on the chest. Below it sits an 8cm drawer for underwear, socks and folded lightweight items. At the bottom, a 20cm drawer takes jumpers, jeans and anything bulky.

Because the arrangement is mirrored on both sides, you get two complete sets of graduated storage rather than one shared run. For two people sharing a bedroom that is genuinely useful – each takes a bank, and neither has to negotiate for the shallow drawer. At 85cm wide and 39cm deep internally, each drawer is a proper size rather than a token one, and they run on metal runners for smooth, reliable use.

Behind the doors the layout is straightforward and uncluttered. Two compartments of 90.5cm, each with a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail rated to 40kg. That gives two full hanging sections across the width, with the shelf positioned to suit what you actually own rather than fixed where the factory decided. With the drawers handling folded storage below, the hanging space stays clear for the garments that need it.

Usable interior depth is 50cm, so garments hang square rather than pressing against the doors. The shelves are 1.6cm thick and the rails are metal rather than plastic. If you want more from the interior, additional shelves, interior drawers, lighting, pull-out rails and dividers can all be added as optional extras before you order.

At 181cm wide and 210cm high, Kodi fits a standard modern bedroom without demanding a specialist ceiling height, and the 54cm depth keeps the footprint modest for a wardrobe that also absorbs six drawers' worth of storage. For a lot of bedrooms that combination removes the need for a separate chest of drawers, which is worth more than the numbers suggest.

In Champagne, Kodi is also produced as a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm, which adds a 45cm full-height centre compartment for long garments, and a large 6 door wardrobe at 271cm, which widens that centre section to a full 90cm. Large wardrobes normally need to be assembled flat before being carefully raised into their final position. Preparing the room before the delivery team arrives is therefore essential.

• Ensure the room has sufficient clear floor space for the wardrobe to be assembled lying flat.
• Allow approximately 20cm of clearance around the wardrobe footprint where possible.
• Allow approximately 15–20cm of ceiling clearance above the finished height of the wardrobe.
• Ensure access routes, doorways, hallways and stairs are clear and suitable for the wardrobe components to be safely carried into the room.
• Remove furniture and other items that may obstruct the assembly area.
• Consider radiators, light fittings, low ceilings, sloping ceilings and other permanent obstructions that could prevent safe assembly.
• Our wardrobes are freestanding and the assembly team may require access around the furniture during installation.

Important: If our assembly team arrives and the room or access route is not suitable for safe delivery and assembly, they may be unable to complete the service. The assembly charge may still apply where the service cannot be completed because sufficient access or assembly space has not been provided.

What Happens If Damage Occurs During Assembly?

When you choose our Professional Delivery & Assembly service, the installation is carried out by our specialist assembly team.

If accidental damage occurs to your wardrobe during assembly, the assemblers will report the damage to us so that we can arrange the appropriate replacement part.

We normally aim to order the replacement part within approximately 48 hours of receiving the relevant information from the assembly team.

Please be aware that many of our wardrobe parts are manufactured and supplied from Germany. Replacement components may therefore take a similar lead time to the original order before they arrive with us and can be arranged for fitting.
