About the Artisan Oak and Mirror Front
Wood and mirror is the most interesting pairing in the Malibu range, and on a two-door wardrobe it is also the most balanced. Each door is divided into five horizontal panels: three mirrored panels running through the centre, with a band of Artisan Oak at the top and another at the bottom, each roughly half the depth of a mirror panel. The grain closes the front above and below, and the mirror runs uninterrupted between.
That combination does something neither material manages alone. A plain mirrored wardrobe is cold – it reflects ceiling and skirting and reads as glass rather than furniture. A plain oak one gives you nothing back. Here the wood provides warmth and a defined edge, while the mirror keeps the middle open and reflects the useful part of the room. Against a smooth reflective surface, the pronounced grain and knot detail of Artisan Oak is exactly the contrast that makes the piece look designed rather than assembled.
It is also the version that suits a natural scheme. Where the white and metallic grey options sit best in a contemporary room, oak belongs alongside linen, wool, rattan and warm off-whites – and the mirror stops that warmth from tipping into anything heavy or rustic. Artisan Oak is a wood-effect finish with pronounced grain and genuine knot detail – warm, textural, and clearly a wood rather than a wood-coloured surface. It is dimensionally stable in a centrally heated bedroom, needs no treatment, and will not develop the shrinkage gaps solid timber can.
Practically, three mirrored panels across two doors give you a substantial full-length reflective surface. That visually doubles the depth of the room, redistributes the available light, and removes the need for a freestanding mirror taking up floor space. In a bedroom that already gives up a wall to storage, reclaiming that floor is worth having.
Sliding doors are the practical choice wherever floor space is limited. If you have the wall for it, the wider model gives noticeably more usable hanging space per compartment rather than simply more compartments to divide things between.
Both compartments are fitted with a storage shelf and a hanging rail. The interior is deliberately open rather than heavily fitted, so you can build it out with additional shelves, hanging rails, interior drawers and compartment dividers if you need them.
