About the Champagne Finish
Champagne and dark oak is the warmest of the three Kodi colourways, and arguably the most sophisticated. Where the white version relies on contrast and the metallic grey on cool restraint, this pairing works through relation: champagne is a pale, faintly golden neutral, and Atlantic Dark Oak is a deep warm brown. They sit at opposite ends of the same tonal family rather than in opposition, so the wardrobe reads as one considered piece rather than two colours stuck together.
The five-door layout suits that relationship particularly well. Because the centre door runs full height with no drawers beneath it, the oak sits as two blocks either side rather than one continuous band across the bottom – and the champagne centre section between them gives the eye somewhere to settle. The front reads as composed and symmetrical rather than repeating, which matters more the wider the wardrobe gets.
That centre compartment is also the practical reason to choose this over the four-door. Where every section sits above a bank of drawers, hanging space is always cut short – fine for shirts and jackets, awkward for anything full length. Here the 45cm centre runs uninterrupted from floor to top, giving coats, dresses and suit carriers a dedicated column of their own. It is the difference between a wardrobe that stores clothes and one that stores all your clothes.
The warmth of the finish is what makes it easy to live with day to day. Champagne shifts gently with the light – cooler in the morning, noticeably warmer under lamps in the evening – and it belongs naturally alongside oak or walnut flooring, linen and wool, and cream, taupe or stone bedding. Against white walls it stops a room feeling clinical without committing you to a strongly coloured scheme. The matte black linear handles are what keep it from tipping into anything traditional: dark, minimal and consistent across doors and drawers, giving a warm palette a sharp contemporary edge.
Either side of the centre sits the arrangement Kodi is built around: two doors above three graduated drawers. The top drawer in each bank is 6cm deep and fitted with interior dividers – a jewellery, watch, cufflink, belt and sock drawer, for the things that get lost at the bottom of a deep drawer or end up in a dish on the chest. Below it an 8cm drawer for underwear, socks and folded lightweights. At the bottom, a 20cm drawer for jumpers, jeans and anything bulky.
Because the banks are mirrored either side of the centre, you get two complete sets of graduated storage rather than one shared run. For two people sharing a bedroom that is genuinely useful – each takes a bank and a hanging compartment, with the full-height centre as shared space for long garments. At 85cm wide and 39cm deep internally, each drawer is a proper size rather than a token one, and they run on metal runners for smooth, reliable use.
Behind the doors, each of the three compartments has a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail rated to 40kg. The shelf positions to suit what you actually own rather than sitting where the factory decided, so the centre compartment can be set for full-length hanging while the outer sections carry more folded storage – or the other way round.
Usable interior depth is 50cm, so garments hang square rather than pressing against the doors. The shelves are 1.6cm thick and the rails are metal rather than plastic. If you want more from the interior, additional shelves, interior drawers, lighting, pull-out rails and dividers can all be added as optional extras before you order.
At 226cm wide and 210cm high, this sits comfortably in a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the 54cm depth keeps the footprint modest for a wardrobe that also absorbs six drawers' worth of storage. For most bedrooms that removes the need for a separate chest of drawers entirely.
In Champagne, Kodi is also produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm, which has no full-height section, and a large 6 door wardrobe at 271cm, which widens the full-height centre to a full 90cm. This 226cm model is also available in Metallic Grey and White, each with the same Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts.
Kodi belongs to the Rauch Orange range and is 100% Made in Germany, carrying both the Blue Angel and the Golden M seals. Blue Angel is an independently verified low-emission certification, meaningful for a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in, and the Golden M is Germany's recognised furniture quality mark. It carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Matching furniture is available across the collection, all carrying the same Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts: a 3 drawer bedside table available in pairs, a 4 drawer narrow chest, and a 5 drawer chest with two small top drawers above three larger ones. Wardrobe, bedside tables and drawer chest can be bought together as a three or four piece set, or individually.

FAQs
What is behind the centre door?
A 45cm full-height compartment with a height-adjustable shelf and a metal hanging rail. Because there are no drawers beneath it, the full height of the wardrobe is available – making it the section to use for coats, dresses, suit carriers and anything else that needs uninterrupted vertical space.
What colour is Champagne?
A pale, faintly golden neutral – warmer than grey and softer than white. It shifts gently with the light through the day, appearing cooler in the morning and warmer under lamplight. Paired with the Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts it gives the warmest of the three Kodi colourways.
What are the two colours?
The carcase and doors are Champagne, with contrasting Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts. The handles are matte black linear metal on both the doors and the drawers. The same wardrobe is also available in Metallic Grey and White.
Why are the drawers different depths?
Each depth is intended for different contents. The 6cm top drawer has interior dividers for jewellery, watches, belts and small accessories. The 8cm middle drawer suits underwear, socks and folded lightweights. The 20cm bottom drawer takes jumpers, jeans and bulkier items. The arrangement is repeated on both sides, so there are two complete sets.
What is inside each wardrobe compartment?
Each of the three compartments has one height-adjustable shelf and one metal hanging rail rated to 40kg. The centre compartment runs the full height of the unit; the two outer compartments sit above the drawer banks.
Do the drawers have soft close?
The drawers run on metal runners for smooth, reliable use. Soft close is not fitted to this model.
Is it available in other sizes?
Yes. In Champagne, Kodi is produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm with no full-height section, and a large 6 door wardrobe at 271cm with a 90cm full-height centre. All three have the same six drawers.
How much space do I need to install it?
Allow 25cm of clearance for installation. On a wardrobe of this width it is worth measuring the full run of wall before ordering, including skirting boards, radiators and any point where the wall is not perfectly square.
Do I still need a chest of drawers?
For most bedrooms, no. Six drawers in three graduated depths, arranged as two separate banks, cover what a chest would normally hold – a useful saving of floor space alongside a wardrobe of this size.
Is delivery and assembly included?
Free white glove delivery is included. Assembly is available at additional cost and can be selected at checkout.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order by Rauch to your selected specification, so once the order has been processed it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.
Can I add more shelves or rails inside?
Yes. Additional shelves, interior drawers, lighting, pull-out rails and dividers can all be selected as optional extras when you place your order.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. A 3 drawer bedside table available in pairs, a 4 drawer narrow chest, and a 5 drawer chest with two small top drawers above three larger ones. All carry the same Atlantic Dark Oak drawer fronts, and can be bought with the wardrobe as a three or four piece set or individually.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.
