About the Champagne Finish

At three doors wide, the champagne finish has considerably more presence than it does on a smaller wardrobe – and that is where the choice of tone starts to matter. A cool white across nearly three metres of wall can feel stark. Champagne does the opposite: it is a warm, softly golden neutral that reads as a quiet backdrop rather than a block of colour, and it holds that character whether the room faces north or south.

It sits naturally with oak and walnut flooring, with brass or antique gold fittings, and with the cream, taupe and stone tones most people already have in a bedroom. On a wardrobe of this scale that matters more than it sounds, because the wardrobe becomes the dominant surface in the room rather than one item among several.

Three doors give the Supreme Duo the proportions to fill a wall properly. The centre door carries a full-height mirror, which is the detail that makes this configuration work visually – a mirror placed centrally between two matching outer doors gives the front a natural symmetry that a two-door wardrobe cannot achieve. It also puts the mirror where you would actually stand, rather than off to one side.

The outer doors are yours to specify, and the three options give noticeably different results at this width. Matt Décor is a soft, non-reflective panel finish – the calmest choice, and the one that lets a large wardrobe recede rather than dominate. Glossy Colour Glass is genuine glass with a high-sheen surface; across three doors it bounces a considerable amount of light back into the room, which can transform a darker bedroom. Matt Colour Glass is also real glass, but low-sheen, keeping the depth of colour that glass gives while avoiding reflections. The carcase is always finished in Matt Décor.

Sliding doors become more valuable the wider the wardrobe gets. A three-door hinged wardrobe needs close to a metre of swing clearance in front of it; this one needs none. That makes a 300cm wardrobe genuinely usable in a room where a bed sits close to the opposite wall, or where a doorway limits the available floor. The Supreme Duo runs on a metal rail system built for a smooth, near-silent glide, and the doors hold their alignment over years of daily use rather than gradually dropping out of true.

Internally the wardrobe is divided into three equal compartments – 80cm, 90cm or 100cm each depending on the width you choose. Every compartment is fitted with two height-adjustable shelves and a full-width hanging rail, giving three separate hanging sections rather than one long run. In practice that is a more usable arrangement for two people sharing, since each person can take a compartment and the third can be given over to bedding, luggage or out-of-season clothing.

Construction is what the rauch BLACK line is built on: high-quality wood-based panels, metal fittings and rails, and an MDF back wall for rigidity across the full span. With 68cm external depth and 58cm usable inside, garments hang square on the rail rather than pressing against the doors. Surfaces need nothing more than a dry wipe. As a 100% Made in Germany product carrying both the Blue Angel and Golden M seals, it meets independently verified standards for low emissions and furniture quality – worth knowing for a piece of furniture this large in a room you sleep in.

Two heights are offered. The 236cm model adds a useful band of storage above the hanging space where ceiling height allows; 223cm suits standard modern ceilings. Is delivery and assembly included?
Yes. Delivery and full professional assembly are included at no extra cost, to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our team builds the wardrobe in your room of choice – there is nothing to add at checkout and nothing for you to assemble.

How long will it take to arrive?
Dispatch is 8 to 10 weeks. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date: the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK. Occasionally items arrive sooner, and during German factory holiday closures it can take slightly longer.

Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order in your chosen finish and size, so once the order has been processed with Rauch it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.

How much space do I need to install it?
Allow 15cm of clearance at each side of the wardrobe and 15cm above it. On a wardrobe of this width it is worth measuring the full run of wall before ordering, including skirting boards, radiators and any point where the wall is not perfectly square.

Which door is mirrored?
The centre door carries a full-height mirror as standard on this model, with your chosen finish on the two outer doors. This gives a symmetrical front and places the mirror centrally in the room.

What is the difference between the three front finishes?
Matt Décor is a panel finish with a soft, non-reflective surface. Glossy Colour Glass is genuine glass with a high-sheen, light-reflecting front. Matt Colour Glass is also genuine glass, but with a low-sheen surface that minimises reflections. All three are supplied in Champagne, with the mirrored centre door and Matt Décor carcase unchanged across the range.

How wide is each internal compartment?
The interior is divided into three equal sections. On the 240cm model each compartment is 80cm wide, on the 270cm model 90cm, and on the 300cm model 100cm. Every compartment has its own shelves and hanging rail.
