About the White Glass Front with Centre Mirror
This is the brightest wardrobe in the Forms range, and by some margin. White tempered glass reflects light rather than absorbing it, and a full-height mirror at the centre doubles down on that – so instead of a large piece of furniture taking light out of the room, you get a front that gives most of it back. In a small bedroom, a north-facing room or a loft conversion with limited daylight, no other configuration in the range will do as much.
The two surfaces complement each other rather than competing. Glass has a soft, diffused sheen that lifts the light without throwing sharp reflections; the mirror is a clean, direct reflection with real visual depth. Set side by side across three doors, the effect is considerably more sophisticated than either would be alone – and it is what stops a white wardrobe of this width reading as a blank wall.
Glass earns its premium on white more than on any other colour. White is the least forgiving finish in any range because there is nowhere for an uneven surface to hide, and across three doors any inconsistency would be obvious. Genuine tempered glass gives a flat, entirely uniform white that will not scuff at the edges and will not develop the faint cream cast that white furniture surfaces tend to acquire over years of daylight. It is the version that will still look crisp in a decade.
The mirror also does straightforward practical work. It removes the need for a separate freestanding mirror – worth reclaiming on a wardrobe that already fills most of one wall – and places the mirror where you would naturally stand to use it, centrally in the room rather than off to one side.
There are three other white configurations in the Forms range worth knowing about. White glass without a mirror gives an unbroken run of glass across all three doors. White matt décor replaces the glass with a soft, non-reflective panel finish at a lower price – the quietest option in the range. And white décor with a mirrored centre door sits between the two. The carcase, interior, handles, mechanism and dimensions are identical across all four, so the decision is purely about how you want the doors to behave.
One point in favour of décor worth being honest about: reflective surfaces do throw light around at night, and in a bedroom where the wardrobe faces a window or a bedside lamp, some people find that a nuisance. If that sounds like your room, the matt version is the better choice. In most other situations, the glass is the one to have.
One detail to know before ordering: the base plinth is supplied in Silk Grey on every Forms wardrobe, including this one. Beneath a white front that grey band is visible – a deliberate design decision by Rauch, grounding the unit at floor level rather than letting it appear to float. It is better known now than noticed on delivery.
Each door front is made up of four panel elements rather than one continuous sheet. Visually this gives the wardrobe a subtle horizontal rhythm that keeps a wide bright front from looking flat. Practically, panel construction is a considerable advantage on delivery day: a 229cm door in a single piece is extremely awkward to carry up a staircase or round a landing, whereas panels are manageable.
The bar handles are colour-matched to the wardrobe, so they read as part of the door rather than an applied fitting. Against white glass the effect is deliberately understated – a clean vertical line rather than a contrasting metal accent, which suits the finish well.
Doors run on the Rauch Easy-Slide system, engineered for a smooth and quiet action. Sliding doors are the practical choice wherever floor space is limited: nothing swings out into the room, so the wardrobe can sit opposite a bed, beside a doorway or in a narrow room without losing usable floor. At 271cm wide that becomes the deciding factor for many bedrooms – a hinged wardrobe of the same width would need close to a metre of clear floor before a door could open.
The interior differs between the two heights, and it is worth weighing carefully. The 210cm model gives one storage shelf and one hanging rail per compartment. The 229cm model gives two shelves and one rail per compartment – across three compartments that is a substantial increase in folded storage rather than a marginal one. If your ceiling height allows for the taller model, it is the better use of the same footprint.
Widths of 203cm and 271cm cover most bedroom walls, dividing internally into three equal compartments of 67.5cm or 90cm respectively. At 62cm deep the wardrobe holds standard hangers comfortably while keeping its footprint modest. Surfaces need nothing more than a dry wipe.
Forms belongs to the Rauch Orange range and is built to the same German factory standard as the rest of the brand – 100% Made in Germany, carrying both the Blue Angel and the Golden M seals. Blue Angel is an independently verified low-emission certification, meaningful for a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in, and the Golden M is Germany's recognised furniture quality mark. Matching bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
Internal Storage Layout
-
Three equal compartments: Each measuring 67.5cm wide on the 203cm model, or 90cm wide on the 271cm model
-
210cm height: Every compartment is fitted with 1 storage shelf and 1 full-width hanging rail
-
229cm height: Every compartment is fitted with 2 storage shelves and 1 full-width hanging rail, giving noticeably more folded storage across the wardrobe
-
Left compartment: Shelving in the upper section with a full-width hanging rail beneath for coats, dresses, shirts and suits, accessed via the white glass outer door
-
Centre compartment: Identical arrangement, positioned behind the mirrored door
-
Right compartment: Identical arrangement, accessed via the second white glass outer door, giving three separate hanging sections rather than one continuous run
-
Adjustability: Shelves and hanging rails can be positioned to suit your own storage, so one section can be set for full-length garments while another is given over to folded items
-
Depth: 62cm external depth throughout, accommodating standard hangers across all three compartments

FAQs
Which door is mirrored?
The centre door carries a full-height mirror as standard on this model, with white tempered glass on the two outer doors. This gives a symmetrical front and places the mirror centrally in the room.
Is this the brightest option in the range?
Yes. White glass reflects light rather than absorbing it, and the full-height centre mirror adds to that considerably. For a small bedroom, a north-facing room or a loft conversion with limited daylight, this is the configuration that will do most for the space.
Are the doors real glass?
Yes. The outer fronts are genuine white tempered glass, not a printed or foiled panel finish. Glass gives a flatter, more even white with a subtle sheen, and it holds that appearance over time rather than scuffing at the edges or yellowing.
What are the other white options?
There are four white configurations in the Forms range. White glass without a mirror gives an unbroken run of glass. White matt décor is a soft, non-reflective panel finish at a lower price. White décor with a mirrored centre door sits between the two. Everything behind the doors is identical across all four.
Will the glass throw reflections around the room?
It can, particularly if the wardrobe faces a window or a bedside lamp. Glass has a softer, more diffused sheen than a high-gloss finish, so it is rarely a problem – but if reflections would bother you, the matt décor version with the same centre mirror is the better choice.
What colour is the base plinth?
Silk Grey, as on every Forms wardrobe. Beneath the white fronts this appears as a grey band at the base of the unit. It is a design feature of the range rather than a fault or a variation.
How long will it take to arrive?
Dispatch is 8 to 10 weeks. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date: the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK. Occasionally items arrive sooner, and during German factory holiday closures it can take slightly longer.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order in your chosen size and configuration, so once the order has been processed with Rauch it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.
What delivery service is included?
Free delivery is included with this wardrobe. Full details of the delivery and assembly options available, along with the clearance you will need, are set out in our Assembly Service information.
Which height should I choose?
The 229cm model gives two storage shelves per compartment against one on the 210cm model – across three compartments that is a substantial difference in folded storage. If your ceiling height allows for the taller version, it is the better use of the same footprint.
How wide is each internal compartment?
The interior divides into three equal sections. On the 203cm model each compartment is 67.5cm wide; on the 271cm model each is 90cm. Every compartment has its own shelving and hanging rail.
Will it fit up my stairs and into the room?
Each door front is made up of four panel elements rather than a single full-height sheet, which makes the components considerably easier to carry through doorways, up staircases and around landings than a wardrobe of this size would normally be. It is still worth checking your access allows for the carcase panels, particularly on the 229cm height.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. Coordinating bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.

Important Requirements for Successful Assembly:
- Ensure the room is fully prepared with clear floor space for the wardrobe to be assembled lying flat.
- Allow at least 20 cm of clearance around the wardrobe’s footprint, and 15–20 cm of ceiling clearance above its final height.
- Our wardrobes are freestanding and require access from all sides during assembly.
- Obstructions such as radiators, light fixtures, or low ceilings may prevent successful assembly.
- If the courier arrives and the space is not suitable or accessible, we reserve the right to charge the full assembly fee, even if the assembly cannot proceed.

If your product is marked as Delivery Only, you will receive all components in flat-packed form along with a comprehensive, easy-to-follow instruction manual.
Please Note Before Starting Assembly:
- Check all packs to ensure all components are included and no parts are damaged.
- Assembly requires two people for safety and ease of installation.
- Make sure the room has sufficient floor space to build the item completely before lifting it into its upright position.
- Each wardrobe must be assembled flat on the ground before being lifted into place — for example, a wardrobe measuring 250 cm wide x 215 cm high will require approx. 270–280 cm x 235–245 cm of clear space for assembly.
- Ensure ceiling height allows for at least 15–20 cm of clearance above the final product.
