About the Artisan Oak Finish with Centre Mirror
Of all the Forms configurations, this is the one where the mirror earns its place most convincingly. Wood grain is visually active – it has figure, movement and tonal variation, and across three full-height doors that can become busy. Placing a full-height mirror at the centre gives the eye somewhere to rest, splits the grain into two framed panels either side, and turns what could be a wall of pattern into a balanced, deliberate composition.
The mirror does practical work too. Wood-effect finishes absorb more light than painted or glass ones, and oak in a smaller bedroom can pull the room down slightly. A full-height mirror at the centre returns that light, adds visual depth to the wall, and removes the need for a separate freestanding mirror taking up floor space. In a room where the wardrobe already fills most of one wall, that matters.
Artisan Oak itself is a mid-toned wood effect with visible figure running through the panels – warm, textural, and quite different in character from the painted and glass finishes elsewhere in the range. Does a wood-effect finish show marks?
