About the Basalt Glass Front with Centre Mirror
This is the most dramatic configuration in the Forms range. If you have been searching for a black sliding wardrobe with a mirror, it is also the closest thing to it we offer – basalt is a deep graphite, the colour of dark volcanic stone, and in most rooms it reads as black. What sets this version apart from the matt alternative is what glass does to a dark colour: light travels across the surface rather than stopping at it, giving the doors a lacquered, almost liquid depth that a flat panel simply cannot produce.
Set that against a full-height mirror at the centre and you have a genuinely striking front. Two dark, glossy outer doors framing a bright reflective centre is a high-contrast composition, and on a wardrobe close to three metres wide it is unmistakably a design decision rather than a default. It is the configuration for someone who wants the wardrobe to be a feature of the bedroom.
The mirror is doing serious work here beyond appearances. Dark fronts absorb a great deal of light, and across three doors that can pull a room down noticeably. A full-height mirror at the centre gives much of it back, splits the run into three balanced sections and adds visual depth. Is this wardrobe black or grey?
Basalt is a very dark graphite. In most rooms – particularly against pale walls or under artificial light – it reads as black, and in glass it is the darkest, deepest finish in the Forms range. In strong daylight you can see it is a deep charcoal rather than a pure black. If you are looking for a black sliding wardrobe with a mirror, this is the closest option we offer.
Which door is mirrored?
The centre door carries a full-height mirror as standard on this model, with basalt tempered glass on the two outer doors. This gives a symmetrical front, breaks up the dark run and returns light that the dark doors would otherwise absorb.
Do the doors and carcase match?
