About the White Finish
White is the most requested wardrobe colour in the UK, and it is also the one where quality shows most plainly. There is nowhere for a poor finish to hide on a white door – uneven surfaces, dull edges and the slight cream cast that cheaper white furniture develops over time are all immediately visible. A properly made white wardrobe stays crisp, and that is the difference you are paying for here.
Paired with a full-height mirror, white is the brightest combination in the entire Supreme Duo range. The mirror and the white door work in the same direction rather than in contrast: both return light rather than absorbing it, which makes this the natural choice for a small bedroom, a north-facing room, a loft conversion or anywhere the ceiling sits low. If the room is on the darker side, no other colourway will do as much for it.
It is also the easiest colour to build a room around. White sits with any flooring, any bedding, any wall colour and any metal – chrome, brass, black or brushed steel all work. If you are furnishing gradually, or renting, or simply want the freedom to redecorate in five years without replacing the wardrobe, that flexibility is worth more than it sounds.
The three front finishes look genuinely different on white. Glossy Colour Glass is real glass with a high-sheen surface, and on white it is the brightest and most contemporary option – it throws light back into the room and gives the door a clean, lacquered depth. Matt Colour Glass is also genuine glass but low-sheen, keeping the smooth solidity that glass gives while removing reflections; the effect is softer and more architectural. Matt Décor is a non-reflective panel finish, the quietest of the three and the closest to a fitted-wardrobe look. The carcase is always Matt Décor.
On practicality, white is the most forgiving colour in the range. Dust barely shows on it and everyday marks are far less visible than on a dark finish. Gloss white will show the occasional fingerprint, but nothing like as readily as gloss black or graphite.
The name Duo comes from the doors themselves: each is built from two panels rather than one full-height sheet. Visually that produces the split-door front and the three slim decorative strips running across it. Practically it solves a problem that catches people out with tall wardrobes – a 236cm door in a single piece is very difficult to carry up a staircase or round a landing. Two panels are manageable, which matters on delivery day if the bedroom is upstairs or access involves a turn.
Sliding doors are the sensible choice wherever floor space is tight. Nothing swings out into the room, so the wardrobe can sit opposite a bed, beside a doorway or in a narrow room without compromise. The Supreme Duo runs on a metal rail system engineered for a smooth, near-silent glide, and the doors hold their alignment in daily use – the detail that separates a premium sliding wardrobe from a budget one over ten years rather than ten months.
Behind the doors, each compartment is fitted with two height-adjustable shelves and a full-width hanging rail, giving a practical split between folded and hanging storage. The shelves reposition to suit what you actually own, so tall boots, stacked knitwear or storage boxes can all be accommodated. Further fittings can be added under Extras before you order.
Construction is what the rauch BLACK line is built on: high-quality wood-based panels, metal fittings and rails, and an MDF back wall for rigidity. With 68cm external depth and 58cm usable inside, garments hang square on the rail rather than pressing against the doors. As a 100% Made in Germany product carrying both the Blue Angel and Golden M seals, it meets independently verified standards for low emissions and furniture quality – Blue Angel in particular is a meaningful credential for a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in.
Two heights are offered. The 236cm model adds useful storage volume above the hanging space where ceiling height allows; 223cm suits standard modern ceilings. Widths run 160cm, 180cm and 200cm, and the Supreme Duo extends further into a 3-door model from 240cm to 300cm and a 4-door model from 320cm to 400cm. Matching bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
Internal Storage Layout
-
Left compartment: 2 height-adjustable storage shelves in the upper section, with 1 full-width hanging rail beneath for coats, dresses, shirts and suits
-
Right compartment: Identical arrangement – 2 height-adjustable storage shelves above and 1 full-width hanging rail below
-
Shelf adjustment: Shelves reposition on the carcase, so you can raise them for full-length garments or add shelf space for folded items
-
Usable depth: 58cm throughout, allowing garments to hang square without contact with the sliding doors
-
Height options: The 236cm model provides additional storage volume above the hanging section compared with the 223cm model. Shelf and rail positions remain adjustable in both
-
Additional fittings: Extra shelves, rails and interior accessories can be selected under Extras when ordering

FAQs
Is delivery and assembly included?
Yes. Delivery and full professional assembly are included at no extra cost, to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our team builds the wardrobe in your room of choice – there is nothing to add at checkout and nothing for you to assemble.
How long will it take to arrive?
Dispatch is 8 to 10 weeks. This is a dispatch timeframe rather than a delivery date: the wardrobe is built to your specification in Germany and then shipped to the UK. Occasionally items arrive sooner, and during German factory holiday closures it can take slightly longer.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order in your chosen finish and size, so once the order has been processed with Rauch it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.
How much space do I need to install it?
Allow 15cm of clearance at each side of the wardrobe and 15cm above it. This is needed to build and position the unit correctly, so it is worth measuring the intended space before you order.
Will it fit up my stairs and into the room?
This is where the Duo design helps. Each door is built from two panels rather than a single full-height sheet, so the components are easier to carry through doorways, up staircases and around landings than a wardrobe of this height would normally be. It is still worth checking your access allows for the carcase panels, particularly on the 236cm height.
What is the difference between the three front finishes?
Matt Décor is a panel finish with a soft, non-reflective surface. Glossy Colour Glass is genuine glass with a high-sheen, light-reflecting front – the brightest of the three on white. Matt Colour Glass is also genuine glass, but with a low-sheen surface that minimises reflections. All three are supplied in White, with the mirrored door and Matt Décor carcase unchanged across the range.
Is white a good choice for a small or dark bedroom?
It is the best choice in this range for that situation. White and mirror both return light rather than absorbing it, so the two together make a noticeable difference in a small room, a north-facing room or a loft conversion with limited natural light.
Is the mirror included?
Yes. The full-height mirrored door is supplied as standard on this model. The Supreme Duo is also produced without mirrors as a separate model if you would prefer a fully glass or fully décor front.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms – a reflection of the build standard behind the rauch BLACK collection.
Can I add more shelves or rails inside?
Yes. The wardrobe comes with the standard interior of two adjustable shelves and one hanging rail per compartment. Additional interior fittings can be selected under Extras before you complete your order.
Are larger sizes available?
Yes. Beyond the 160cm, 180cm and 200cm widths shown here, the Supreme Duo is produced as a 3-door wardrobe from 240cm to 300cm and a 4-door wardrobe from 320cm to 400cm.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. Coordinating bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.

Our professional delivery and assembly teams operate across Mainland England, Wales, and selected areas of Scotland and Northern Ireland. If your product includes or qualifies for assembly service, our team will assemble the item in your chosen room, provided the space is suitable and accessible.
Important Requirements for Successful Assembly:
- Ensure the room is fully prepared with clear floor space for the wardrobe to be assembled lying flat.
- Allow at least 20 cm of clearance around the wardrobe’s footprint, and 15–20 cm of ceiling clearance above its final height.
- Our wardrobes are freestanding and require access from all sides during assembly.
- Obstructions such as radiators, light fixtures, or low ceilings may prevent successful assembly.
- If the courier arrives and the space is not suitable or accessible, we reserve the right to charge the full assembly fee, even if the assembly cannot proceed.
Assembly by the Customer

If your product is marked as Delivery Only, you will receive all components in flat-packed form along with a comprehensive, easy-to-follow instruction manual.
Please Note Before Starting Assembly:
- Check all packs to ensure all components are included and no parts are damaged.
- Assembly requires two people for safety and ease of installation.
- Make sure the room has sufficient floor space to build the item completely before lifting it into its upright position.
- Each wardrobe must be assembled flat on the ground before being lifted into place — for example, a wardrobe measuring 250 cm wide x 215 cm high will require approx. 270–280 cm x 235–245 cm of clear space for assembly.
- Ensure ceiling height allows for at least 15–20 cm of clearance above the final product.
