About the Champagne and Oak Slat Front
The detail that makes this wardrobe is the slatted panel. Set into each champagne door is a section of Dark Atlantic Oak, cut as a run of narrow horizontal slats with the champagne showing between them – the effect of timber panelling on a wall, reduced to a single block on an otherwise plain front. It is a genuinely unusual piece of design for a wardrobe at this price, and it does something a flat two-tone front cannot: it gives the door texture and shadow rather than just a change of colour.
On champagne the effect is warmer and more natural than on the darker colourway. Champagne is a soft, faintly golden neutral, and Dark Atlantic Oak is a rich deep brown – both sit in the same warm family, so the slats read as a natural gradation rather than a hard contrast. The panel emerges from the door rather than being stamped onto it, and the whole front feels closer to a piece of joinery than to painted furniture.
