About the Graphite and Atlantic Oak Design
Larisa is the most restrained wardrobe in our Rauch range, and the most confident. The front is almost entirely plain graphite – no handles, no glass, no panel divisions – interrupted only by slim vertical strips of Atlantic Dark Oak running the full height between the doors. That is the whole design, and it works precisely because there is nothing else competing with it.
At 251cm the arrangement comes into its own. Five doors give more oak strips across the front than the four-door model, and on a wardrobe of this width that repetition reads as rhythm rather than repetition – a series of full-height vertical lines drawing the eye up and dividing two and a half metres into readable sections. It is a considerably more architectural result than the smaller size achieves.
Atlantic Dark Oak is a rich, deep brown with pronounced grain, warm enough to soften the graphite without lightening it, so the contrast registers as considered rather than stark.
The optional LED lighting is what turns this from a good-looking wardrobe into something else entirely. Set into the oak panels, the light washes down each strip from the top, so the wood glows from within and the vertical lines become the only lit elements on an otherwise dark front. Across five doors that effect multiplies – in a bedroom at night the wardrobe stops being storage and becomes the light source, in the way a well-designed piece of furniture occasionally can. It is worth seeing lit before you decide against it.
Graphite is a deep, near-black tone, and it suits this treatment better than a pale finish would. The oak needs a dark ground to read against, and the LED needs darkness around it to do anything at all. Against white or off-white walls with pale flooring the whole composition is architectural; in a small or north-facing room, the champagne version will do more for the space.
Behind the doors the specification is unusually solid. The shelves are 22mm thick – noticeably heavier than typical at this level – which means they take stacked knitwear, storage boxes and shoes without the sag that develops in thinner boards over a few years. Hinges and fixings are metal throughout, and all five doors are soft-close as standard, so nothing slams and the doors sit true over time.
Internally the wardrobe divides into three compartments – 100cm, 50cm and 100cm – each with two storage shelves and a hanging rail. Two shelves per section is more than most wardrobes offer, and all shelves are height-adjustable, so the balance between hanging and folded storage can be set to suit what you actually own.
The narrow 50cm centre section is more useful than its width suggests. It gives you a dedicated column separate from the two main compartments – shirts and blouses, one person's everyday rotation, or a run of shorter garments – and it is exactly the sort of division that stops a wide wardrobe becoming one undifferentiated space you have to dig through. A wide range of interior accessories is available if you want to build it out further.
One dimension worth noting: at 223cm high Larisa is taller than most wardrobes in this class, which is where the extra shelf capacity comes from. Check your ceiling height before ordering, and allow room above for the wardrobe to be raised into position during assembly.
Larisa is 100% Made in Germany and carries both the Blue Angel and the Golden M – Blue Angel being an independently verified low-emission certification, which is worth having on a large piece of furniture in a room you sleep in. It is backed by a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Larisa is also produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 201cm and a large 6 door wardrobe at 301cm. The range is also made in Champagne, a soft warm neutral that sits in the same family as the oak for a gentler, more natural result.
Matching bedroom furniture is available from the Larisa collection – beds, bedside tables and chests of drawers, in décor matt and glass front finishes, with cushioned self-closing drawers throughout.

FAQs
What is the oak detail on the front?
Slim vertical panels of Atlantic Dark Oak set between the doors, running the full height of the wardrobe. They are the only detail on an otherwise plain graphite front, and across five doors they give 251cm a strong vertical rhythm rather than a flat expanse.
How does the LED lighting work?
The LED is integrated into the oak panels and washes light down each strip from the top, so the wood appears lit from within. It is an optional extra rather than standard. On a dark front the effect at night is considerable – the lit vertical lines become the only illuminated elements on the wardrobe.
Is the LED lighting included?
No, it is an option. If you want it, select it before adding the wardrobe to your basket – as this is a made-to-order item, it cannot be added afterwards.
How is the wardrobe divided inside?
Into three compartments of 100cm, 50cm and 100cm, each with two storage shelves and one hanging rail. The narrow centre section gives you a dedicated column for shirts or everyday clothes, kept separate from the two main compartments either side.
How thick are the shelves?
22mm. That is noticeably heavier than typical, and it is what allows the shelves to carry stacked knitwear, storage boxes or shoes without developing the sag that thinner boards get over time.
Are the doors soft-close?
Yes, on all five doors as standard, with metal hinges and fixings throughout.
How tall is it?
223cm – taller than most wardrobes in this class, which is where the additional shelf capacity comes from. Check your ceiling height before ordering, and allow room above for the wardrobe to be raised into position during assembly.
Is a dark wardrobe this wide too much for my room?
It depends on the light rather than the floor area. Graphite works well against white or off-white walls and pale flooring in a room with reasonable natural light, where 251cm reads as architectural. In a small or north-facing bedroom, the champagne version will serve the space better.
What delivery options are available?
Free delivery is included. Our professional assembly service is available at additional cost, where our fitters build the wardrobe in your chosen room.
Is it available in other sizes?
Yes. Larisa is produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 201cm and a large 6 door wardrobe at 301cm.
Is it available in other colours?
Yes. The range is also made in Champagne, with the same Atlantic Dark Oak panels.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order by Rauch to your selected specification, including the LED option, so once the order has been processed it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected options carefully before ordering.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. The Larisa collection includes beds, bedside tables and chests of drawers in décor matt and glass front finishes, with cushioned self-closing drawers.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.
