About the White Finish
At 271cm this is a large wardrobe, and white is the finish that lets you have that much storage without the room paying for it. A wardrobe of this width in a dark colour becomes the defining element of the bedroom whether you intend it to or not. White does the opposite – it reads as wall rather than furniture, and the eye passes over it.
The Glamour range takes its name from the door fronts, and over nearly three metres that choice matters more than on any smaller model. The carcase is always white; what changes is the surface you look at every day.
Matt décor is the quiet choice. A soft, non-reflective panel finish matching the carcase exactly, so the full 271cm reads as one clean architectural block. It will not show smudges in raking light and will not throw reflections around the room at night – the sensible option for a family bedroom, or one where the wardrobe faces a window.
High gloss white is the contemporary one. A reflective lacquered surface that bounces light back into the room, and across six doors that effect is substantial – enough to genuinely transform how a darker or north-facing bedroom feels. It is the finish that most obviously reads as modern.
White crystal glass is the premium option, and the one the collection is named for. These are genuine tempered glass fronts rather than a lacquered panel, and over this much surface area the difference is impossible to miss. White is the least forgiving colour in which to disguise an uneven finish, and across nearly three metres any inconsistency in a coated panel would show. Glass gives a flat, entirely uniform white that will not scuff at the edges and will not develop the faint cream cast white surfaces tend to acquire over years of daylight. It is the version that will still look immaculate in a decade.
The long chrome handles run the full height of each door, and at this width they are doing structural work rather than decorative. Six vertical chrome lines across 271cm give the front a strong, regular rhythm and break what would otherwise be a very large pale expanse into readable sections. It is the detail that stops a wardrobe this size looking like a blank wall.
Internally the wardrobe divides into three equal 90cm compartments, each with a storage shelf and a hanging rail. All are height-adjustable, so the interior adapts to what you actually own rather than what the factory assumed – one section set for full-length coats and dresses, another lowered to add folded storage. Three separate hanging sections is also a more usable arrangement than one long run: two people sharing can take a compartment each, with the third given over to bedding, luggage or out-of-season clothing.
At 210cm high and 54cm deep, this fits a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the footprint is no greater than a smaller wardrobe – it is only the run of wall that changes. Manufactured 100% in Germany and certified with the Blue Angel and Golden M ecolabels, it meets independently verified standards for low emissions and furniture quality, which is worth having on a piece of furniture this size in a room you sleep in. It carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
If you would prefer a mirror built into the wardrobe rather than standing separately in the room, the same model is produced as a 6 door mirrored wardrobe at this width – worth considering on a wardrobe that will occupy most of one wall. Glamour is also made as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm.
The collection is also produced in Metallic Grey, where the three fronts are metallic grey décor, gloss grey and basalt glass – all shades of graphite rather than a mid grey. Matching bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
Internal Storage Layout
-
Three compartments: Each 90cm wide across the 271cm width
-
Left compartment (90cm): 1 storage shelf and 1 hanging rail for coats, dresses, shirts and suits
-
Centre compartment (90cm): Identical fittings – 1 storage shelf and 1 hanging rail
-
Right compartment (90cm): Identical fittings – 1 storage shelf and 1 hanging rail
-
Total hanging space: Three separate rails rather than one continuous run, allowing the wardrobe to be divided between users, seasons or garment types
-
Adjustability: All shelves and rails are height-adjustable, so one section can be set for full-length garments while another is given over to folded storage
-
Additional fittings: Further interior accessories are available from the Rauch range

FAQs
What are the three front finishes?
Matt décor is a soft, non-reflective panel finish matching the carcase. High gloss white is a reflective lacquered surface that lifts the light in a room. White crystal glass is genuine tempered glass – the most premium of the three, with a depth and evenness that a coated panel cannot reproduce. The carcase, interior, handles and dimensions are identical on all three.
Which finish should I choose?
Matt décor if you want the wardrobe to sit quietly, or if reflections from a window or lamp would be a nuisance. High gloss for a darker or north-facing room, where across six doors the light gain is considerable. Crystal glass if the wardrobe is a feature of the room and you want the finish that will still look immaculate in ten years – on a front this large, the evenness of real glass is the most noticeable.
Is the glass real glass?
Yes. The crystal glass fronts are genuine tempered glass, not a printed or lacquered panel. It gives a flatter, more even white with real depth, and it will not scuff at the edges or yellow over time.
Is a wardrobe this large right for my room?
At 271cm wide it needs a substantial run of clear wall, but at 54cm deep the footprint is no greater than a smaller wardrobe – only the width changes. In white it also carries far less visual weight than a darker finish would at this size.
How is the wardrobe divided inside?
Into three equal 90cm compartments, each with one storage shelf and one hanging rail, all height-adjustable. Three separate hanging sections rather than one long run, so the wardrobe can be divided between users or garment types.
What delivery options are available?
Free delivery is to your door – our drivers will not take the wardrobe into the house. Room of choice delivery is available at additional cost, where the wardrobe is brought to the room you specify. Full assembly is also available at additional cost, where our professional wardrobe fitters build the unit in your chosen room. On a wardrobe of this size the assembly service is worth considering.
How much space do I need to install it?
Allow 25cm of clearance for installation. On a wardrobe of this width it is worth measuring the full run of wall before ordering, including skirting boards, radiators and any point where the wall is not perfectly square.
Is a mirrored version available?
Yes. The same wardrobe is produced as a 6 door mirrored wardrobe at 271cm.
Is it available in other sizes?
Yes. Glamour is produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm.
Is it available in other colours?
Yes. The collection is also produced in Metallic Grey, with a choice of metallic grey décor, gloss grey or basalt glass fronts.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order by Rauch to your selected specification, so once the order has been processed it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected finish carefully before ordering.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. Coordinating bedside tables and chests of drawers are available from the same collection.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.
