About the White Finish and Glass Front
At 271cm this is a large wardrobe, and white is the finish that lets you have that much storage without the room paying for it. A wardrobe of this width in a dark or wood-effect finish becomes the defining element of the bedroom whether you intend it to or not. A white surround holding four glass doors at the centre does the opposite – it fills the wall while staying visually light, so the storage arrives without the bulk.
The proportions work in its favour too. Because the glass occupies the whole centre with white framing only the two ends, the front is not a repeating run of six identical doors – it is a broad glazed panel with a clean border. On a wardrobe approaching three metres, that composition is what separates a considered piece from a wall of cupboards.
The four centre doors are yours to specify, and across a span this wide the glass choice defines the room.
White Glass is the purest expression of the design. Glass and white carcase together give a seamless, tonal front where the only difference between surround and centre is the surface itself – matt beside glossy, flat beside deep. It is the brightest large wardrobe in the range and the option that does most for a darker room.
Champagne Glass introduces warmth without breaking the calm. A pale, faintly golden band across the centre softens nearly three metres of white and stops it reading as clinical – the option for a bedroom built around cream, taupe and natural materials.
Basalt Glass is the boldest by some distance. A deep, near-black centre framed by white is the highest-contrast combination in the range, and at this width it is genuinely dramatic – graphic, architectural, and unmistakably a design decision. It also ties in with the metallic grey handles, which pick up the same dark tone.
Whichever you choose, these are genuine glass fronts rather than a printed or foiled panel. Glass has an evenness and depth that no coating reproduces – and over this much surface area that matters, since white is the least forgiving colour in which to disguise an uneven finish. It also holds its appearance permanently, with no scuffed edges and no faint cream cast developing over years of daylight.
The long metallic grey handles run the full height of each door. Six vertical lines across 271cm give the front a regular rhythm and divide a very large pale expanse into readable sections – structural work rather than decorative at this size. Against white the grey stays deliberately understated, quiet enough to let the glass lead.
Internally the wardrobe divides into three equal 90cm compartments, each with a storage shelf and a hanging rail. Three separate hanging sections is a more usable arrangement than one long run: two people sharing can take a compartment each, with the third given over to bedding, luggage or out-of-season clothing.
The interior is deliberately open rather than heavily fitted, which leaves you free to build it out as you need. Additional shelves, hanging rails, interior drawers and compartment dividers can all be added as optional extras when you order.
At 210cm high and 54cm deep, this fits a standard modern bedroom without needing a specialist ceiling height, and the footprint is no greater than a smaller wardrobe – only the run of wall changes. Made in Germany as part of the Rauch Orange range and backed by a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Artemis is also produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm, both with the same three glass options. If you would prefer a warmer surround, the range is also made with an Artisan Oak carcase and outer doors at this width.
Matching bedroom furniture is available from the same collection: 2 and 3 drawer bedside tables, a 4 drawer narrow chest, a 4 drawer wide chest, and a 5 drawer chest with two smaller drawers above three larger ones.

FAQs
Which doors are glass?
The four centre doors, with a white door at each side. You choose the glass colour when you order: Champagne, Basalt or White. The white carcase and outer doors are the same on all three.
Which glass colour should I choose?
White glass gives the most seamless, tonal result and is the brightest option for a darker room. Champagne adds warmth and stops nearly three metres of white reading as clinical. Basalt is the boldest – a near-black centre framed by white, and genuinely dramatic at this width.
Is it real glass?
Yes. The centre doors are genuine glass fronts, not a printed or foiled panel. Glass gives an evenness and depth a coated surface cannot reproduce, and across a front this large that difference is the most visible. It will not scuff at the edges or yellow over time.
Is a wardrobe this large right for my room?
At 271cm wide it needs a substantial run of clear wall, but at 54cm deep the footprint is no greater than a smaller wardrobe – only the width changes. In white, with a glazed centre, it also carries far less visual weight than a darker or wood-effect finish would at this size.
How is the wardrobe divided inside?
Into three equal 90cm compartments, each with one storage shelf and one hanging rail. Three separate hanging sections rather than one long run, so the wardrobe can be divided between users or garment types.
Can I add more to the interior?
Yes. Additional shelves, hanging rails, interior drawers and compartment dividers are all available as optional extras and can be selected when you place your order.
What delivery options are available?
Free delivery is to your door across England, Wales and Scotland – our drivers will not take the wardrobe into the house. Room of choice delivery is available at additional cost, where the wardrobe is brought to the room you specify, and full assembly is available at additional cost, where our professional fitters build the unit in your chosen room. On a wardrobe of this size the assembly service is worth considering. In Northern Ireland the wardrobe is supplied with our delivery and assembly service rather than standard delivery.
Is it available in other sizes?
Yes. Artemis is produced as a 4 door wardrobe at 181cm and a 5 door wardrobe at 226cm.
Is it available with a different carcase?
Yes. The range is also made with an Artisan Oak carcase and outer doors, with the same choice of champagne, basalt or white glass at the centre.
Can I cancel or change my order?
No. This wardrobe is made to order by Rauch to your selected specification, so once the order has been processed it cannot be cancelled or amended. Please check your measurements and selected glass finish carefully before ordering.
What guarantee does it come with?
Rauch provide a 10-Year Manufacturer Guarantee, subject to their warranty terms.
Is there matching bedroom furniture?
Yes. The Artemis collection includes 2 and 3 drawer bedside tables, a 4 drawer narrow chest, a 4 drawer wide chest, and a 5 drawer chest with two smaller drawers above three larger ones.
How do I look after the surfaces?
The surfaces are easy to maintain and should be cleaned with a dry cloth only.
